Goa is called as the beach capital of India, which is a title that does full justice to this destination. The entire stretch of this small state has beaches written all over it. There are close to fifty beaches spread at both North Goa and South Goa. But beaches are not the only good things about this place.
Goa is interestingly historic and many of its landmarks have made it to the heritage list by UNESCO. Some of you may not be aware but the landmarks of Old Goa have that time-turning ability. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is a medieval era cathedral with heart-stopping beauty and an architecture that is so Gothic in its appeal. How can one not say ‘aww’ when this majestic building comes to sight?
In addition, churches like the Se Cathedral and Church of our Lady of the Rosary amongst many others are also popular tourist attractions. But there are a few bad things about Goa as well. Since boozing (drinking), clubbing, partying and gambling are rampantly pursued with unbridled passion, there can be occasional brawls. You should drink, but drink moderately.
